|REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL

|Ashes To Ashes
Who knew: SamCam thought it was a gathering of flight attendants, eulogising
Conservative ideology brought Osborne to tears, Sarah Ferguson's inclusion in
a public event caused her giddy hysteria, it was a show not a funeral when
MT's 19 year old Dallas, Texas grand-daughter gave a 'steely' performance as
she 'stole the show', it was actually a PR Tory election ploy and the US had dug
up Cheney and Kissinger who apparently aren't dead and in hell after all.
What a £10 million tax-payer party. Surely her tax avoiding, coup encouraging,
arms dealing favoured son Mark could have offered a bit more of his £60million
fortune or perhaps all those millionaire Tory MPs. Just a thought.
PM CallMeDave has reminded us overandover again "We're all Thatcherites
now...one of the things about her legacy is some of those big arguments that
she had had, you know, everyone now accepts.” Hmmm. Greed is good?
Privatisation pays? Dishonesty is a duty? Collusion is cool? Avarice is
advantageous? The rich rule?
The first reading from Ephesians as chosen by MT: "It calls for the righteous to
put ‘on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles
of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places." Says it all - or enough.
More iron maidens:
When MT's grand-daughter Amanda was complimented on her "amazing
performance" by Tory MP Rob Wilson, her response was "It's in the blood."
Oh dear. Hopefully her iron blood count will not reflect her father's shocking
lack of integrity...blood curdling.
Her iron maiden manner has resulted in comments all round. 'Pippa's
replacement has arrived on the scene'... 'A little humility might not go
amiss'...'Overly confident for a nineteen year old'....hmmm.
Iron-ically (sorry about that) Gwyneth Paltrow was in London to promote her
latest project, Iron Man 3, but was a no-show on the red carpet because she
was home in New York 'to party with her famous friends at the Tiffany & Co
Blue Book Ball', as you do. Evidently she wears an iron man suit in the film.
Are we meant to be excited about that?
In her moment to moment reporting of her every mood, thought, feeling,
bathroom break GP said: 'We all saw it last night together with all of my kids'
friends and everybody loved it. Including myself - I was really surprised". And
we're surprised you told the BBC that you live here and have most of your
"adult life". Really? Twenty years? Clearly maths may not have been her best
Voted the other day as 'the most hated celebrity in Hollywood', was she here
thinking she would pick up an award for such a special acknowledgement? One
or all of those Kardashians are close behind surely... or possibly Lily Cole.
