Humorous Views on London Culture, Royals, Gossip and Politics

Oh whoops Whoopi. Would you do it Woody? Obviously Woody would as he has already
including incest and I don’t mean Soon-Yi. Whoopi gives her version of rape regarding the
Roman Polanski arrest.

"What I'm saying is that he did not rape her, cause she was aware, and the family, apparently
was aware ... he was not charged ... I know it wasn't rape-rape. I think it was something else
but I don't believe it was rape-rape."

Right Whoopi. What drugged 13 year old wouldn’t want to be sodomized by a man old enough to
be her father?

Polanski’s predilection for very young girls is well known. “How old are you little girl? Fourteen
Too old. Too bad. And I had a special surprise ready for you in my pants. Do you have a sister?”

He admitted to being unfaithful to his beautiful wife, Sharon Tate, and true to form a few days
after the Manson Family butchered her at eight and a half months pregnant, he was
photographed deliriously entwined with two nubile young blondes and god knows, his history is
self-explanatory: the man is a paedophile. His greatest fear was that he would be the recipient of
his own predilections if he were incarcerated in a non-celebrity prison. “No. No. Not up
Look at the size of you. Aren’t you in for murder?” After an undisclosed pay-off to the 13 year old
and presumably her mother, Polanski escaped back to France where he knew he would be

He plied Samantha Geimer with Quaaludes mixed in champagne after he had begged her mother
to let him photograph her for French Vogue… at Jack Nicholson’s house… oh the irony. He had
oral, vaginal and anal sex with her. One wasn’t enough? Samantha said ‘no’ with each attempt.
Looks like rape-rape to me Whoopi.

Whether it’s rape-rape or rape it is an act of power and domination - sexual gratification is the by-
product - the vehicle for humiliation and degradation. ‘No’ means no whether it involves a baby, a
child, an old woman or a nun. Rape means rape. Perhaps the Hollywood elite take the view that
it is the norm when clawing up the ladder of success there and always has been.

To clear up all the ‘confusion’, Dominic Lawson reveals the transcript at the time in

“There, the 44-year-old Polanski plied her with the drug. Then, after insisting that she join him in
the Jacuzzi, Polanski said: "Let's go in the other room". From this point on, the testimony is
harrowing, so skip the next few paragraphs if you are of a squeamish disposition.

"Q. What did you do when he said, 'Let's go into the other room'?

A. I was going 'No, I think I better go home', because I was afraid. So I just went and I sat down
on the couch.

Q. What were you afraid of?

A. Him.... He sat down beside me and asked if I was OK. I said 'No'.

Q. What did he say?

A. He goes 'Well, you'll be better'. And I go, 'No I won't. I have to go home. He said 'I'll take you
home soon'.

Q. Then what happened?

A. Then he went down and he started performing cuddliness... I was kind of dizzy, you know, like
things were kind of blurry sometimes. I was having trouble with my coordination... I wasn't
fighting really because I, you know, there was no one else there and I had no place to go."

Q. Did he ask you about being on the pill?

A. He asked, he goes, 'Are you on the pill?' and I went, 'No' and he goes 'When did you have
your period?' and I said, 'I don't know. A week or two. I'm not sure'... He goes, 'Come on. You
have to remember'. And I told him I didn't.... and right after I said I was not on the pill... and he
goes... and then he put me – wait. Then he lifted my legs up farther and he went in through my

Q. Did you resist at that time?

A. A little bit, but not really, because...

Q. Because what?

A. Because I was afraid of him."

Polanski demanded that she not tell her mother about “our little secret”. In his original defence,

Polanski said that his 13-year- old victim had agreed to take part in sex and that she was ‘not
unresponsive’. “Are you having as much fun as I am? No? Well, you’ll just have to think of it as
art. You know what art is don’t you?”

Forget the usual ‘what if it were your daughter’ and go directly to what if it happened to you
when you were thirteen. I give you that some would have enjoyed it, but that’s not the point
really. The French president, the foreign minister, David Lynch, Pedro Almodovar…hmmm.

The outraged defenders:

French culture minister Frederic Mitterrand: "In the same way as there is a generous America
which we love, there is also a certain kind of America which is frightening, and it is this America
which has now shown us its face."

French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner: "This affair is frankly a bit sinister... A man of such
talent, recognised throughout the world, recognised especially in the country that arrests him - all
this is not very pleasant."

The Swiss Association of Directors: "[The arrest is] a grotesque judicial farce and a monstrous
cultural scandal."

Film producer Harvey Weinstein: "Every US filmmaker [should] lobby against any move to bring
Polanski back to the US. Whatever you think of the so-called crime, Polanski has served his
